Albuquerque Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Accident
Rider Thrown from Stolen Motorcycle After Striking Pedestrian

Albuquerque, NM - The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in northeast Albuquerque early this morning.
According to APD, the incident happened near the intersection of Coors Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard around 1:45 a.m. Preliminary reports indicate that a rider on a stolen motorcycle struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street.
The impact of the collision caused the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. The rider was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. APD is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and has not yet determined whether the pedestrian or the motorcyclist was at fault.
