Early Life and Career

Karl-Anthony Towns, nicknamed KAT, was born on November 15, 1995, in Piscataway, New Jersey. He is the son of Dominican parents and holds dual citizenship in the United States and the Dominican Republic. Towns played basketball for St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, where he led the team to four consecutive state championships.

Professional Career

In 2015, Towns was drafted first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He quickly established himself as a formidable force, averaging 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in his rookie season. Towns has been named to the NBA All-Star team three times and has led the Timberwolves to the playoffs in three of his seven seasons with the team.

Recent Performance

In the 2022-23 season, Towns missed several games due to a knee injury. However, he returned to action in late March and has been playing at a high level.
